Clan e.sports united * eoLithic has won the ClanBase EuroCup VI - CounterStrike by beating the 3 other playoff winners that we invited to Rotterdam. Congratulations!

It's safe to say the LAN event went smoother than ever - all matches were on time except one and Shoutcast/IRC/HLTV broke records. We also did some new things that worked pretty well, such as showing wireless camera closeups of players on the screen, multiple IRC channels and recorded shoutcast broadcasts linked to the demos.

Things that might be interesting:
-demos with recorded commentary
-photographs
-OdB movie
-Various coverage - see newsitem
-Some photos and movies

Thanks to all admins, players, spectators and the Game Syndicate for being a great host.

Full report up now by Retail of this cracking loser bracket final, where the strong ct defenses were the bassline. There was only room for one more team in the final, and the loser would have to be content with the bronze.

#eurocup.cs got too full (2300 people and growing), so we've set a limit there and opened a mirror channel called #eurocup.cs.1 with another scorebot and all the same information, so please go there to follow the matches.

The match started out to be quite equal on de_aztec but on de_prodigy OCR.D-Link showed a-L why they chose that map.

At 13.30 it was time for the second semi final. A game that promised to be an exciting one, and didn't disappoint one bit. This time it were two german teams to decide who would play in the winner bracket against esu.eoL.

After a confident win over Ocrana, esu-eoL can consider themselves to be the first to enter the winner brackets. The match started close on cbble (6-6), with Ocrana as Terrorists. However, as Counter Terrorists Ocrana could not stop esu sufficiently and lost 4-8.
On aztec esu completely walked over Ocrana, not even giving them a chance to play as CT's. Esu only needed one roundwin after they had crushed Ocrana as CT's 10-2. Something remarkable that might have decided the game was that esu won all 4 pistol rounds, giving them a weapon advantage on every map.

Great news for the German-speaking fans. The number one German gamecoverage crew is coming to the event to provide a second shoutcast coverage channel in German, next to our English coverage. They recently split from gamer-fm.de to become gamesports-de. Wilkommen! Diffrent from radio4gamers, gamesports.de is live in Rotterdam to bring you interviews and stuff.

***update***

The shoutcast url's for the german stream are:

Broadband: gfm1.gamesnet.de:8000/listen.pls
Smallband: gfm1.gamesnet.de:8002/listen.pls

If you wanted to listen in English, open the following file in WinAmp:
