Using HalfLife TV
HalfLife TV ('HLTV') allows thousands of people to watch a live game of Counter-Strike, Half-Life or any other Half-Life MOD.
In order to watch a HLTV match you need the latest version of CounterStrike (1.4) and HalfLife (1.1.0.9).
You can download the required files from the ClanBase Files section.
How do I connect to the HLTV server?

If you want to watch a specific HLTV Proxyserver click on "Add IP". Half-Life will ask for the IP of the HLTV server then. Fill in hltv.ngz-server.de:27020 and click on OK.
The server will be added to the list. Click on the server and then on "View Game" to connect to it.
What can I do when I'm spectating a game?
Once your on the HLTV server you will be able to view the in-game players. By default you will be able to chat with the other spectators on HLTV. However this could be turned off by the HLTV serverowner. You can spectate the game in different modes: Chase Cam, First Person, Free Look and Map Overview, Map Chase. The easiest way to change modes is the spectator menu, which can be enabled by pressing the DUCK key (by default CTRL). Here you can customize your personal view stlye. Hit DUCK to disable the menu again. Don't forget to "cheer", by default bound to "j".
Why are the teams not shown correctly ?
Shortly after connecting to HLTV, players appears to be in the wrong team in the scoreboard. And the icons are grey instead of red or blue. Just wait for a new round and everything should be correct.
How can I record a HLTV demo?
You can record an HLTV demo of the game you are watching. You can do that by typing: "record <demoname>" in the console.
